Business Analyst – Social Intranet Relaunch (External Contractor)

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be a driving force behind the relaunch of E.ON’s social intranet. This role combines deep analytical skills, hands-on configuration capabilities, and strong cross-functional collaboration. You will ensure that business needs are not only captured and translated into actionable requirements, but also effectively implemented, tested, and supported in the system.

You should have a strong grasp of intranet and CMS platforms, proactively manage dependencies, and bring a structured mindset to a dynamic environment. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the digital employee experience for one of Europe’s leading energy companies.

Your Role – Structured & Impact-Oriented

• Requirements Management & Execution: Gather, document, and manage detailed requirements (functional and non-functional) in close collaboration with business, IT, UX, and content stakeholders. Ensure accurate translation into user stories, and track execution and testing in Jira.
• System Understanding & Configuration: Quickly develop a deep understanding of the intranet platform and its CMS features. Support hands-on system configuration for navigation, content targeting, personalization, and roles/permissions setup.
• Dependency Management: Identify cross-workstream dependencies early. Proactively align with relevant stakeholders to mitigate risks, close gaps, and ensure delivery without friction.
• User Experience & Optimization: Work closely the product team to ensure that features such as search, targeting, structures and navigation meet user expectations. Use insights to suggest improvements.
• Documentation & Transparency: Maintain clean, structured documentation in Confluence, including requirements, test plans, configuration guides, and decision logs.
• Continuous Improvement: Analyze incidents and feedback from test phases and pilots. Provide 2nd-level support during rollout and drive continuous system and process enhancement.

• Experience as a Business Analyst in large-scale digital or intranet projects.

• Proven experience with social intranet systems, CMS platforms, and digital workplace tools.
• Solid understanding of requirements engineering, system configuration, and delivery tracking.
• Skilled in Jira and Confluence – from backlog management to transparent documentation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Structured, dependable, and self-driven – able to manage multiple priorities across workstreams.
• Scrum or agile working experience are a plus
